Why did I decide to create The Looney Bin? That's a good question, and one I've been asked many times but could never really give a straight answer to, aside from the obvious. I'm a Loonatic aka a Jenny "Looney" Lane fan. Isn't that usually the reason someone builds a fansite? Anyways, I suppose I will look back, and give you the real details on how things got started.

Imagine it's back in July of 2000, seven years ago, which seems like a long time ago to most. At that time, I was an avid wrestling fan, as I am today. I didn't just stick to one promotion. I'd been watching them all since I was little, and then started obsessively in '98 reliving the magic. Of course there were what people call, "The Big Three", WWF, WCW and ECW. But I was a fan of all wrestling, including the indies. If there was wrestling on T.V. I was watching it.

I often searched the channels for documentaries, they had always gained my interest, and that's when I first stumbled upon a documentary entitled, Inside Pro Wrestling School, which highlighted Ultimate Pro Wrestling in California. Many well known faces have come out of the school since then, and I could make a list, but that would only stray me from my point further. That's when I first laid my eyes upon Miss Jenny "Looney" Lane herself.

Now, at 12 years old, I was easily amused, and still am, but the sight of Looney caught my eye immediately. She had an amazing presence; that energy, personality and a smile I envied. And what about them curly pigtails? Who doesn't love pigtails? She was girly, yet knew how to take a beating at the same time. I myself had always been labeled as a tomboy. After finishing the documentary, I wanted to find out more about UPW and that "Looney" girl who was in the ring with the boys, but UPW's website and Looney's official site seemed to be my only luck. I was left craving more. Something about her status caught my eye and stuck with me for the longest time.

A long time indeed it was until I saw her again. The famous HLA episode of RAW in September of 2002. I knew I recognized those auburn curls from somewhere, but couldn't put my finger on it. After doing a little research when RAW went off the air, I found that I'd crossed the path of my "girl crush" after two years. She'd been injured in that stint, but still took it like a pro. I was once again amazed, and that's when I decided I wanted to do something to show my appreciation.

After one long year of teaching myself HTML and attempting to make my graphics look good, The Looney Bin was born, under the alias of Looney-Lane.cjb.net. I couldn't afford webhosting or domains at that time, nor did I know much about them. Bet a lot of you didn't know that was the same site now did ya? I did everything I could, researched my ass off and began to proclaim myself as Jenny's number one Loonatic, and to this day, I still believe myself to be.

Time has certainly passed since the birth of The Bin, and in that time I've been in contact with the woman known as Jenny "Looney" Lane for almost 4 years. Very few can say that about the people they admire. My only wish is to some day have the honor of meeting her in person. That certainly would be a dream come true.

So this is for you Miss Jenny, my first girl crush, that kooky catholic school girl that I wanted to be. I owe you more thanks than anyone, with your constant support and dealing with my annoying e-mails and MySpace messages. Know that I will always support you in everything that you do, whether it be wrestling, modeling, acting, singing, wherever life leads you. Much love to you muh girleo, from your number one Loonatic, that webmistress, Kristin.
